'Bystander' to go to Australia filmfest

Iranian animation ‘Bystander’ has been scheduled to be screened at the Adelaide International Women’s Film Festival in Australia.

The Australian festival will host the animation directed by Sheida Kashi.

‘Bystander’ is a cinematic depiction of society that does not accept differences and is heading for annihilation.

It is about an old man who is living behind a window from where he sees a dark world and remembers his past when he was an active revolutionary.

The 8-minute animation recently won the second prize in the animation or experimental film section of the 21st edition of the Faludi International Youth Film Festival and Photo Competition in Hungary.

The Adelaide International Women’s Film Festival is a celebration of contemporary women's films from every corner of the world.

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for June1-3.
